The General Cinema in Woodland Hills had three screens. After I wrote this, I thought it might be fun to find out what we had as our third movie choice. I went to LAVC's microfiche catalog, looked up the June 24, 1983 Los Angeles Times, found the GCC ad, and saw this:


Superman III did not play at the GCC. Then I looked up the UA Warner Center:


Apparently, we went to the UA, discovered that both screens showing Superman III were sold out, and actually took the extra time to check out a different theatre! I guess a little effort was put into the date after all.

Then there's this exciting fact:

That's right: I spent exactly two dollars on Katherine on our first date. No wonder she was busy all summer!
